Lineaux jumped slightly as the lightning hit the clocktower Haunted mansion. He turned and looked at the dimly-lit house with his eyes narrowed slightly. "It seems Kagallie is right. We've been discussing too long and the lightning came looking for us." He smiled slightly. It had been a long time since he'd participated in a time-dependent Event like this one. It would get more interesting from this point onward.
"Let's continue, then. Our answers are inside, I should think. Is everyone prepared for battle? The real event has only just begun." With that, the Thaumatergist pulled out his whip and spun it around himself, letting it dangle to his side as he marched forward. Finally, a chance to put this new Class to the test. He had been excited to see new, original Classes added to the list of old ones, and couldn't help but choose one of them. As a Thaumatergist, he had the power to summon monsters that were normally his enemy.

As Onyx looked at Kagallie and then Lineaux as he instructed them to start to move inside, the feline nodded slowly as she then reached her hand behind her head as she pointed towards the ideas with a grin. There was no way she was going in there first. It was a haunted house after all, and if she was jumping at lightning, she knew for sure that she'd be screaming at the sign of ghost. It was just in her personality. Brave on the outside, at least for the most part, yet fearful.
"Hehe...Why don't you guys go first?I'll cover the rear....."
Looking around swiftly as a means to be sure that nothing caught her off guard, the furry sighed as she still wasn't sure if she should do this. But then, there was a lot of them now. So perhaps it wouldn't be as hard as it appeared to be. As Katt23 watched all this from behind her computer, she knew that if she didn't work with a group now, it would be impossible to do so later. Besides, they all seemed very nice.

Gabriel had to admit that he too jumped when the lightning struck the Haunted Mansion. It's not that he jumped slightly in his computer chair out of fear or anything. It was just the fact that it seemed so real. It was really amazing what technology could do in a MMO nowadays. If he didn't know any better then he would of assumed that the game was actually real. As absurd a thought that was, it was one that Gabriel couldn't help but to entertain.
"I'm ready for battle. I'll try not to drop these again." Roen said, referring to his Chakrams, with a smile on his face. It was a good thing that this was a videogame and not real life. In real life he would've been too nervous to do something. It's not that there were actually many differences between how he acted online and in real life. The only main difference was that he was interacting with other people through the use of a game. So in all honesty, Roen's nerves were on edge as he walked up to the mansion door.

"I'm ready to go, too," she said with a nod at the other players. Her own weapon, a sword, was already drawn, and she held it at the ready as she started walking behind Lineaux into the mansion. "Let's hurry. I hope we can save that girl before time runs out." Even though it was an NPC, Gretelle would feel guilty if they weren't able to help someone who needed them.
She looked over at Onyx when the other girl spoke, wondering briefly if the feline player was afraid of the haunted house. Gretelle herself had been a bit afraid, but that had faded now that she wasn't alone, and she was determined to fulfill this quest. She smiled at Onyx, telling her in what she hoped was a reassuring tone of voice, "Okay. We'll be counting on you."

Kagallie giggled and summoned her staff "Alright! Lets go~!" she said with a happy giggle as she stepped inside. A cool breeze was the first thing to greet the players. A few floating candles wondered around providing soft lighting for the large room they now stood in. Kagallie blinked "Hey.. I know this place." she said crossing her arms. How cheap were they to just decorate a field to be scary? Twas to be expected. She shook her head and glanced around. "Well, we can go left it leads to a study, a kitchen a hallway then the back door. To the right we go to a library a bedroom or a bathroom. Upstairs is two bedrooms, the latter to the attic and the.. I dont know what to call it room. Infront of us somewhere there is the trap door to the basement which also has a pantry and the surgical room. "Kagallie nodded. Then giggled as she turned to look at the two players "I'd step carefully, it's a really old building and you might fall threw the floor!" another sure nod. "So.. which way?" Shrieks still echo'd of the lost NPC child. They seemed to lead in no special way, however, no pathway is lit. Consider grabbing a candle or something to light the way.Player Choice

Lineaux looked at the situation, and thought carefully. He walked a little ahead of the group and snatched a candle out of the air. "We have four possible directions. I suggest we split up, and keep each other posted via Flash mail. I don't believe you all have my member address." He quickly sent his member Address to all those assembled. It was his nature to take the lead, and as the system had already sped up the event due to their indecisiveness, he felt it was in their best interests that he take the lead at this juncture.
"There are four directions to go, and five of us. Kagallie, Onyx, Gretelle, Roen, and myself." He listed their names as he read them above their heads. "I'll head down towards the cellar. Onyx, you go left and check out the study, kitchen, and hallway. Gretelle, Why don't you head right and check out the library. Roen, take the stairs up to the attic and see what you can find. And Kagallie, since you seem to know the layout of the building, could you perhaps follow one of us so that the searching goes faster? Don't forget that we can reach each other through Flashmail. Any questions or complaints?" He didn't want to be uncompromising. simply efficient. if they desired to go to different places, or continue moving in a group, it was fine with him.

Nodding towards Gretelle as she stated that they were counting on her to watch the rear, the feline giggled nervously as she continued to keep her hands behind her head, looking around as the group proceeded into the mansion. The place was rather large, considering that the way it had appeared on screen gave off the opposite kinda of appearance. But then again, in a world as advance as this, nothing was as it seemed. Keeping herself close to the group, Onyx held her paws close to her chest, eyes scanning each corner they passed in till they stopped at a juncture point.
While looking around, Katt23 nearly jumped out of her skin as she heard the ring tone that indicated that she had just received a member address. Perhaps she was getting too involved within the game? That or her timing in taking on such a mission in the middle of the night was just terrible. Either way, her focus returned to the game as soon as she saved the address and found that Kagallie seemed to know the area like the back of her hand.
"Wow...and I thought my house was big....."
Jumping once more as she heard the shriek from the girl still moving within the house, Onyx held herself tightly as she then let her right ear stand tall in attention as Lineaux gave out instructions. Upon hearing that she might have to go into three different areas by herself, the female furry blinked as she pointed towards the direction of the study with a blank expression on her face.
"Down there?.....By myself.....Um.....sure...Yea! I can do it....It will be a piece of cake! Hahaha...ha...haaa...."

"I like that idea." Roen said with a smile as he spun his chakrams around in his hands. "Unless anyone else has any other ideas, I'll be heading up."Roen said before he began to look for a candle. Once he had a candle, Roen proceeded to head up the stairs that led up to the attic.

As she received Lineaux's member address, Gretelle sent her own out among the group. She listened to the plan that was being laid out. While it would be safer for them to move in a group, time was of the essence here, and splitting up would cut down on the time it would take them to find the missing girl by a large amount. So, she voiced her approval, saying, "It sounds like a good plan. Everyone, be careful, okay? I don't know if there are any enemies in here, but just in case, don't let your guard down."
Once again noticing Onyx's nervousness, she paused, then added, "Kagallie, why don't you go with Onyx?" Lineaux had said that Kagallie could go with any of them, after all, and Gretelle thought it might help to have them together.
She noticed that Roen was leaving, so she should go quickly, too. Picking up a candle of her own, she waved and said, "I'll be going, then. See you soon." And with that, the Heavy Blade turned to her right, eventually disappearing from the party's sight as she walked into the library.

(Way to make this hard on meeee D: <3 Love you guys~!)
Kagallie gave a soft nod, she couldn't have member adresses, nor did she have one of her own to give. However, it seemed unnoticed at the time. When they were told to split up Kagallie gave a nod. Her gaze shifted as for the most part everyone moved. Oh how was she to pick who to follow! Then Gretelle solved the problem for her. She threw her left hand in the air and smilled happily "Hai~!" she said with a happy giggle before taking Onyx's hand in hers and softly pulling the girl to the keft. "An old man and wife used to live here. They left though." she said witha nod "Such nice people..." she gigled and pulled the door open.
The chilly air from the hallway met the two instantly and Kagallie shivered "It's cold..." she said softly then lightly squeezed Onyx's hand "we got this" she said and giggled "I'll protect you" she added then started down the hall.
Each person would be greeted by treasure chest when arriving in their first room. Upon opening, if they so decided, each person got a potion, and a single note that read: "Welcome to my humble home. Watch your step and don't let the monsters bother you. They'll only kill you, but no real harm."
Upon inspection it would be found that the Kitchen hid a key in the sink, the cellar had a toy doll, the upstairs bedroom had a Lanter and the study had a little spirit that followed the player closely. However, the Attic is locked.
(sorry it's a little rushed gotta get thanksgiving on the roll o 3o)

((Thanks XD)) Lineaux Walked forward toward where the 'trap door' should be to the cellar. He watched the ground carefully until he saw the knothole in the floor that would be used to lift up the door. He quickly lifted the lid and slid down into the hole, finding that a ladder was affixed to the far side, leading downward. he dropped down into the hole and caught the ladder halfway down, and began scaling down to the floor.
There was a treasure chest against a wall not far from the base of the ladder. Lineaux could hardly see it with the sparse light the candle provided. He wished he had a lantern. Inside the chest was a potion and a note reading thus: "Welcome to my humble home. Watch your step and don't let the monsters bother you. They'll only kill you, but no real harm."
Lineaux looked at the note with a wry expression. "Interesting." He looked around the room a bit and found nothing of interest. the only other object that he as a player could interact with was a little doll. He went ahead and procured it, to add to his key items.
He decided it was about time to notify the others of what he'd found. He sent a flashmail to all those whose addresses he had received.

Yelping loudly, Onyx felt herself beings dragged down the hall towards the first room on her list. Though she didn't get to say anything, she was happy to not have to go alone. This place just seemed too scary, even for someone like her. Grinning nervously as she looked towards Kagallie, she managed to laugh somewhat as she stated that she'd protect her. It was an odd thing to say, but it did make her feel a little better. That statement alone seemed the seal the idea that she'd have to do the same towards her. Especially if they were to get through this place in one piece.
"Right....So lets see....hmm.."
Opening the door to the study, the feline female could see the chest within the middle of the room, surrounded by shelves that were full of books. There was a desk that remained in the far back, right behind a large window that allowed a full view of the front of the house. The only thing was, it was completely dusted over. But then, everything in the house seemed to be covered in cobwebs and dust.
"I guess they really took the idea of a haunted house seriously huh?"
Keeping her hand within that of her companion, Onyx continued to look around before wondering what might be inside the chest. It seemed rather reckless, but then, her curiosity got the better of her as she used her tail to open the box to reveal the potion and the note.
"Welcome to my humble home. Watch your step and don't let the monsters bother you. They'll only kill you, but no real harm."
Hearing another loud thunder clap from outside, Onyx felt her tail and every hair on her body stand on end as she then handed the note to Kagallie.

Roen frowned when he saw that the Attic was locked. He was hoping that he could find find something of use in there. Well he could always check out the bedroom to see if there's anything in it it. With that thought in mind, Roen walked over to the door to the upstairs bedroom's door and opened it. Unfortunately what he found wasn't much. He did find a chest. Though it only contained a potion and a note that read: "Welcome to my humble home. Watch your step and don't let the monsters bother you. They'll only kill you, but no real harm."
Monsters? Well isn't that just great? Not only did he not find much, they will also have to do so some fighting too. Now's not the time to complain. Just keep looking. Gabriel told himself. The only other thing in the room was a Lantern. Deciding that could be of some use if he ever found the key to the attic, Roen put the Lantern in his Key Items List. Then he decided to give everybody else a flashmail, telling them what he found.

Upon entering the library, Gretelle found that it looked like an old library, sans for a large chest that stood out among the shelves. At first she avoided it and searched for anything else that seemed important, but finding nothing, she decided to open the chest. After reading the note and pocketing the potion, two Flash Mails popped up on her screen, from Lineaux and Roen respectively. She read over them and replied, "There was a chest with a note in the library, too. It sounds like it held the same note you two found. I don't see anything else, though, so I'm going to go further in. There's still a bedroom and a bathroom to investigate on this side. I'll let you know if I find anything. - Gretelle."
With that message sent, she exited the library and made her way to the next door she found. It was difficult to open, but after applying enough force she was able to duck inside. The room was one of the house's bedrooms, though it didn't seem like anyone had been using it recently. The curtains and sheets that were once white had been turned gray with dust, and as Gretelle looked around, a floorboard broke under her step, and she very nearly had her foot stuck. She stepped aside just in time, though, and she breathed a sigh of relief. "That's right, it isn't just monsters I need to look out for. 'Watch your step,' as that note said."

Kagallie stayed close as they explored the room. Her hand held tightly to Onyx's as she scanned everything over. When the opened the chest Kagallie giggled "I love boxes~!" she said lightly petting the now empty box, then Onyx handed her the note and she read it "Well.. I suppose it figures. most events have monsters right?" Kagallie nodded then blinked. And lightly pulled Onyx to the other side of the room where a small cage was found. Inside was a little light "Aww.. it's cute" she said then opened the cage door.
A little ball of white-blue light bob'd it's way out and brushed against Kagallie's cheek causing her to shiver and shy away leaning closer to Onyx "What is it?" she asked watching as it did the same to Onyx, circled them a few times, then started for the door only to stop and wait. "I Think.. .it wants us to follow?" she half said half asked. "Might as well find the others." she said with a soft nod looking at Onyx for confirmation.
Slowly, lights around where shutting down, causing pitch blackness (excluding the light from the candles) all around the house, which was slowly forcing them all to the attic.
