Onyx thought for a moment, placing her hands behind her back as she swayed back and forth. The offer was indeed tempting. Solving this mystery within a group with be a lot faster. Considering that it would also lead to more answers, maybe she should join them in this venture. Besides, it would be fun and she needed something to do. So smiling towards the other female, jumped towards her as she shouted in a gleeful tone.
"Of course! No way would I miss a chance like this!
Giggling as she looked her over as well as the others, a closer view did provide much better analysis than from afar. They didn't look like a dangerous bunch, if not weird. But of course, she was a talking neko girl so probably being judgmental wasn't the best idea. Though their goals all seemed similar. Finding the lightning might be hard, and it would be even harder to carry it. So any good ideas seem to be open for discuss for the time being. It was just a shame that she didn't have any.

Lineaux Smiled lightly as the two females embracing. Apparently they knew each other. He was a little annoyed that his suggestion had been shrugged off so easily, but seeing as he really didn't mind trying different things, he decided to be coerced into trying something else. "A box sounds interesting. Do we have any idea where we might find something that could Hold Lightning? Perhaps some Thunder Spell could suffice?" He mused, not able to help but make suggestions. It seemed unlikely to him that a root town would supply quest items. But of course, he could be wrong. They may have changed that aspect with the new edition.

For a moment, Gretelle was afraid Kagallie wouldn't remember her, but she immediately felt relieved when her friend called her name, and though she was a bit surprised when she found herself being clinged to, she hugged Kagallie back. "Ah... it's okay," she said softly, trying to sound reassuring. "I'm sorry you were scared. It's okay now."
She looked up when the others began discussing a way to bring the lightning back, nodding along to the conversation as she also tried to think of a solution. "Those are all good ideas," she said, then added, "Do you think we should find something to bring the lightning to us? I wonder if we could set up a lightning rod."

Kagallie giggled happily clapping her hands "yay more people~!" she said with a happy giggle. She then set back to thinking. What.. was the best way to do this. "A thunder spell? Maybe?" She said then tapped her chin. " A lightning rod! We could use my staff! But...there isn't any lightning in this field. We'd have to find one with lightning.." she gave a soft nod. Then smiled happily.

Lineaux folded his arms in thought "A lightning rod. Still, how would we contain the Electrical Energy once we have it?" he mused. "I still say that we should investigate the area, perhaps we'll find clues as to what form of Lightning they require." He suggested again. "Maybe there is a lightning rod or some contraption around the house that will solve our problem?" They had plenty of ideas and no one was willing to pick one. They were all being too polite. Lin wasn't opposed to taking that charge if they continued being noncommittal, but he preferred not to at this stage.

" You mean....We actually have to go in there.....The haunted house? With the ghosts and...stuff...."
Onyx held her hands close to her chest, looking around as she suddenly wasn't so sure about the idea. After first, it seemed cool to go into a place like this, but she seemed to have gotten her fair share of spooks already. So was there really a need for more? Still, she wanted to know what they might get as a reward for solving this problem, and it wasn't as if there was much else to do right now. The feline female was here, so she might as well go all the way.
"I...I guess that could be...fun...right?"

//Gating In........ //User:roen_52 //Area:Δ Lost Grace Mansion //Loading...... //Loading.......... //Loading.....Successful Gabriel played with a strand of his green hair in a rather bored manner as he waited for the three golden rings that always appear when you log into the game and warp into the fields. Gabriel had only started to play the game thirty minutes ago and he was still getting used to the game. His character's name was Roen Silvera, he could barely fit all of it in at the character creation screen, while his username was roen_52. Gabriel smile when those three golden rings appeared and his character turned from transparent to opaque. It was amazing all the things that one could have their character do. He had spent twenty minutes just testing out each possible action. It actually felt like he was actually the character at times. Gabriel patiently listened to what that girl had to say when he had decided to talk to her. How in the world was one supposed to get her lightning though? There were probably many ways to do that but he'd wait till he actually had a party to go on a quest with before trying. It has been said that Gabriel's attention span was smaller then that of a a squirrel. At times that proved to be true. Just like now when Roen accidentally bumped into a girl in purple with a purple top hat after he had noticed how dark and gloomy the place looked. Roen's face turned red from embarrassment as he picked himself up off the ground. "I'm sorry about that... I should of been paying attention but my sister always tells me that i have a short attention span. Well I constantly get distracted so I guess that's true. I'm sorry!!! My name is Roen!" Roen said as he twiddled his thumbs together. He was ranting again. That always happened when he got embarrassed. In his haste to apologize, he forgot to pick his chakrams back up from off the ground.

Gretelle didn't like the idea of going into the haunted house that much, either, but she didn't want to let on that she was afraid, and besides, Lineaux had a point. "What if some people investigate outside of the house, and others look inside?" she suggested.
She was about to add more when another player joined them, though he made himself known in an unusual way - by bumping into Kagallie and then going on a rant about his short attention span. She blinked, just staring for a moment, before she noticed he had dropped his weapons. After picking them up, she held them out to him, saying, "Calm down, Roen. Here. These are yours, aren't they? You don't want to lose them."

Kagallie studied the door and the NPC "I think.. we wouldn't be able to get in even if we tired. I mean..look at the door it's closed. Not exactly inventing." She shook her head a little "What about a pet?" she asked right after some guy bumped into her. An 'eep' passed her lips and she flailed a little then clung to Gretelle again a soft sniffle passing her lips.
When the boy spoke though the girl relaxed. It wasn't some goths after her soul! She giggled faintly and nuzzled Gretelle softly before slowly letting go. "It's okay Roen. You just startled me. We are trying to get lighting for the quest!" she said with a few nods

Lineaux Nodded to Gretelle. "I'm not sure that we can get inside, as Kagallie stated, but I do think that we should search...the rest of...the area..." He trailed off as a new character collided with Kagallie. He seemed to be a klutz character or even a noob. There were lots of experienced players who created new characters and roamed around the world as entirely different people. The mystery was one of the Game's most drawing features in Lineaux's Mind.
Lineaux quickly used the shortkey that showed characters' names. Gretelle, Lineaux, and Roen Silvera were their names in white above their heads, while Kagallies seemed to be a different color. An off white that he hadn't seen denoting any other player in The World. It compounded her mystery and he decided that he would ride her story out to find the outcome. "Roen Silvera." He smiled at the new arrival, dismissing the names-and-stats shortkey. "Welcome to the party. Do try to keep hold of your weapons when we encounter enemies, if you will." He was only joking, but his constant tone most likely came off as Mocking or cynical. It was part of this character that he had pulled together.

This was just something Onyx wasn't sure off entirely. But then again, she did like the idea of only some people going inside while the others went in. But when she heard that it might not be possible to go inside, she wasn't all that disappointed. So it looked like the search would be around the area of the house, so somewhat of a scavenger hunt for an object that could produce or hold lightning. At least she wasn't doing it alone.
"So...where exactly do we....."
The sound of thunder caused the female furry to jumped slightly, with her tail standing up at attention. She really didn't like thunder, and the fact that she felt like a possible target for it didn't make her any happier.
"Start..."

"Thanks..." "...Don't want to lose these." "Calm down, Roen. Here. These are yours, aren't they? You don't want to lose them." Roen smiled when the girl standing beside the one in the tophat handed him back his chakrams. Gabriel then remembered that there was a short key on his comp that could tell him the names of these people. After checking he pressed the shortkey again to cause the names to disappear. The furry girl was called Onyx, the girl in the tophat was called Kagallie, though her name was the only one in a different color than the others, the girl standing beside Kagallie was called Gretelle, and finally the only other male in the area was called Lineaux. Roen made sure to give them his member address before he spoke next. "Thanks, I should keep better track of these. Otherwise I won't be able to fight." Roen said with a big smile plastered on his face. He would have to be more careful. It's not like he could charge into battle unarmed and actually expect to come out victorious. "It's okay Roen. You just startled me. We are trying to get lighting for the quest! Kagallie explained. Good, she wasn't mad. Some people would get mad at him because he bumped into them. About the quest though, Gabriel had a couple ideas about that. They could get the starter pet called, Vallant. He had heard that they could get starter pets from an NPC called Sonia. When he talked to her she said for him to meet her in a area that has a lot of light. "What about a starter pet? I heard that one of them has the ability to cast lightning?" Roen suggested. He wasn't sure if that was the way that this quest was supposed to be done. He just had a good feeling about this method. "Welcome to the party. Do try to keep hold of your weapons when we encounter enemies, if you will." Lineaux told him. For a moment there, Roen couldn't tell whether Lineaux was only joking or if he was mocking him. He seemed like a nice person though. Roen decided that he was only joking. "So...where exactly do we....." Onyx started as thunder clapped. "Start..."That was actually a good question. They had some ideas and theories about this but where would they start off. There were multiple things that they could do that pertain to this quest. "That's a good question. Where do we start? I mean there are multiple ways that this quest and many of them might not be right. So how should we get lightning?" Roen asked.

Suddenly a large lightning bolt shot from the sky and hit the building, With a few flickers the lights turned on, very dimly. Not much had changed the lights were so dim, though a few could be heard flickering and the door now stood slightly ajar. The girl that once stood so egrly outside the mansion was gone all that was left of her was her scream of help from inside the mansion. Players Choice [Go In] [Gate out] (Quest note: Make sure you have at least one spell/skill ready)

Gretelle was about to chime in when a flash of lightning and the ensuing thunder cut her short. It had startled her; behind the screen, she jumped a bit in her chair, and then was thankful no one she was talking to in the game could see that.
As if the sudden lightning wasn't surprising enough, when she turned her attention back to her screen she noticed that the mansion had lit up just slightly, and the NPC was missing. Just as she noted that, she heard a girl's scream coming from inside the haunted house.
"Is this part of the quest?" she asked, though it wasn't directed at anyone in particular - the other players were probably just as confused as she now was. Turning to face them, she said, "I'm not sure what just happened, but... I think we should go inside. That girl needs our help."

Kagallie was quite in thought. When the lightning went off another 'eep' passed her lips and she clung to Katt as a soft whimper passed her lips. "Kaga is scared." she said softly nuzzling against Katt. "That was scary." she said again. Slowly she shuffled her feet and stepped closer to Gretelle. A faint sniffle passed her lips and she clung to the girls arm.
"It's sorta part of the quest" Kagallie said softly "It means that it was getting to close to the deadline of the overall event that the server had to come in and force-move the event on." She said her eyes scanning the door. She gave a soft nod and looked to the other players. "I agree, that girl does need our help. I'm ready to go in."
