I always feel iffy about having only one of a certain kind of combat. We now have:
FIVE options of melee, the Twinblade, the Heavy Axeman, the Long Arm, the Edge Punisher, and the Blademaster.
FOUR options of magic, the Wavemaster, The Macabre Dancer, the Thaumatergist, and the Illusionist.
But only one option for ranged fighting? I will not let it happen. Let me present to the council...
------------
Grenadier
Intro
A new branch of steam technology wielders, the grenadiers have reached beyond their bayoneted guns to become a pure ranged fighter. Steam technology itself has exceeded limitations, revealing to the world a steam powered grenade launcher. However, weight remains to be a problem, and the grenadier must sacrifice defense and speed in order to remain as the powerhouses of fighting.
Game Rule Information
Basic Attack
The Grenadier uses a new grenade launcher in battle, capable hitting multiple enemies from afar, but at the cost of only firing one grenade at once.
Statistics
The Grenadier have an advantage with both an increased Attack. Magic Attack and Magic defense is average. Speed and defense are both at a dangerously low level.
HP and SP growth
The Grenadier values higher HP than SP to balance out their lower defenses, and boasts the growth of:
+19HP/+6SP
Skills
The Grenadier starts the game at level 1 with a Cycle Capacity(CC) of 2, and gains one additional CC at the 3rd, 6th, 8th, and 9th level.
Grenadiers start out with the first Level Skill Smart Grenade, a skill available only to Grenadiers. As they progress, they will have access to further skills exclusive to their class.
Skill-wise, a Grenadier is treated as a heavy class.
Round Collector
A Grenedier can only shoot one grenade. But whenever a Grenadier does not attack with their weapon, they can double the current amount, with a penalty of:
1->2: -10 HP and SP, inability to block attacks
2->4: -15 HP and SP, inability to use skills
4->8: -25 HP and SP, inability to move
Up to five rounds can be stored. The next time the Grenadier attacks, they can fire as many rounds as wanted. This gives the Grenadier a potential 8 hits.
