Okay, so I'm thinking about how Battle will work, and I guess I'm wondering how we decide how much damage to take away from our HP when we get attacked. That's why I propose two more calculateable stats be added to our existing HP and SP.
Damage The amount of Damage your attacks do to your opponent. I figure that each class would have a different figure for this. I can put together examples if you like. but it's late and i dun wanna right now.
Armor Class How difficult it is to deal damage to you. This factors in both Armor and Agility. it would be subtracted from your opponents damage when they make an attack against you.
I also found a code for a ubbc Damage percentile roller that could make it less methodic and more chance-based, if we wanna go that route.
My reasoning is that, while simplicity is important, too simple makes things even more confusing, so this is my solution, let's discuss.

I'm kind of hesitant about adding more number-based stats, since I think I remember us discussing this and a few people felt that just having HP/SP was enough. I guess I'm for chance-based damage, though I do like the Armor idea. What do you think about combining these somehow? Damage could be chance-based, and if you're wearing armor, you can subtract 10 points from the initial damage. Would something like that work?

I'd go for the chanced-based. I hate stats and lots of numbers.

lol Alright. we don't have to have more stats, you know, I just think it will be easier to figure out for people.
