As Gretelle's character appeared in Mac Anu, she reflected on what had happened the last time she was in the root town. She had met two players and agreed to go questing with them, but one person had gone AFK, and in the end, Gretelle had logged out. She was a bit disappointed, as she would have liked to go questing with them, but there was still a chance they could party up in the future. For now, she would finish the quest they were going to take on by herself.

An NPC stood by the Chaos Gate, waving to new players as they passed by him. She had missed him the first time, but now she approached him with purpose, triggering his script. "Come forth, adventurer! I welcome thee to [The World]." He continued to explain the nature of this quest, and when he was finished, she nodded. It was basically a tutorial quest, and since she already knew how to play the game, it didn't take her long to fulfill his requirements.

"You have proven yourself skilled indeed, adventurer!" he announced, as Gretelle got a notification that he had left her party. "The promised rewards are yours, and now that you have mastered your movements, you are free to step into [The World] and begin crafting your tale. Riches much greater than these await you, if you have the strength to claim them."
