Can I suggest an amendment to the Character creation and Classes threads?
Now that the Wave Sphere system has been put in place, some adjustments need to occur so that it's easy to integrate it into stuff.
Classes: It would be awesome if all the class skills were separated by what Sphere they are created by, so people know what Spheres they need for what abilities. Some are self explanitory and some aren't, but members who haven't been discussing the system will get confused if it isn't put there.
Also, in the Character format, above skills or as a part of it, should be the Wave slots in your weapon and the skills you get from them. If I think of more adjustments, I'll bring them up.

Would it be okay if I put Wave Spheres under equipment in the character form? Something like this: Equipment:- Weapon Name (Type | Wave Sphere | Spell/Skill)
blah blah weapon description?
Equipment:- Excalibur (1H Sword | Gan Sphere | Gan Slash)
Its legend began in the 18th century. It also comes with a song. "From the United Kingdom, I am looking for her, I am going to California."

As for the spells I don't know what you have in mind for the wave system exactly, so if you want to post one up i'll take down the other one -nodnod-

Good job on working that out. But I think you need to add one more thing, unless I completely missed it: where do you get Spheres? From Questing? Do you get one with a new character?

Well I was going to make a credit system with how you get weapons and spheres, but Kagallie said that it would be too much for people to remember, so since they'd be pretty cheap, I figured you just get whichever one's you want until We all decide on a way to do it. See the Credits for Weapons and Spheres post for more stuff on my idea for that.

mmhmm. Also... could people read over all the sphere stuff and make sure it makes sense and isn't confusing? I've seen a couple of profiles where people aren't doing it right...

Okay, erm.. I just don't get it. [/b][/u] 1) I Have This Sphere..Break it down for me (us). Player A has a Sphere. How does it turn into a Raid Sphere? A Rai Sphere? Or are the Spheres already set like that? 2) Getting Skills/UpgradingThese spheres already have skills attached to them when a player finds it? How does upgrading skills work? When you find a 2nd or 3rd sphere, you can insert them into the slots your weapon has. All those skills are now yours to use? 3) Obtaining SpheresCan you choose a starter sphere when you create your character's profile? Find spheres in quests from drops, or should they be more rarer such as a final prize, or contests? 4) SpellsDo we gain these through spheres or through leveling? Or was it weapons? .__.; I didn't quite read over that past thread much.[/ul]

I really like the system you've set up, Lin! I think I understand a bit about how it works, though I must admit there are a few things I'm confused about. XD Does each class start off with the first sphere listed in its skills? How do you get new spheres, and what happens if you get a sphere you can't use? Also, will offensive-based classes, such as the Heavy Blades and Heavy Axes, be able to learn spells, or is it just skills?

Haha sorry I missed this thread. Here's the answers to your questions and I'll try to ammend the threads I have. You get any level 1 skill sphere you want at first Level. You can use the abilities that are granted by the spheres that are attached to your weapons. The skill chart tells you which skills your class/weapon gets from each sphere. Spheres are always the same sphere. They don't turn into other spheres or anything. In my system, Skills and spells are the same thing. If you attach a Vak sphere to a staff or spellcasting weapon you get a spell, and if you attach it to a melee weapon you get a melee skill. As far as gaining them from drops are concerned, I would expect that basic ones would be sold in towns, and more advanced ones would be found on quests and stuff. If you guys want me to change it I can for instance I can just make more spheres so that melee classes can learn spells too or so that it's easier to choose.

Okay! Thanks for clearing that up! I have to admit that I would like the melee classes to be able to learn spells, too, but my character belongs to a melee class, so I'm biased, aha XD What does everyone else think?

Actually, I was thinking that they should be able to too, but I'd probably limit them more than the spellcasting classes are limited. haha I feel like a game designer 0.o Trying to make something new and different and then attempting to explain it to people who aren't inside my head.
