Alright. we've got lots of complicated stuff goin on in this site, which I love, which makes me think that this should be easy.
Since you level per quest, then you should also gain a 'credit' per level/quest that you complete. With these you can buy items useful to this RP. Wave spheres and weapons/armor.
I think we should make weapons at least, for the purpose of regulating how many Wave Spheres people get.
A weapon costs credits equal to it's level. Simple Wave spheres cost one credit per level as well. Each class starts out with one of three base weapons. One for each of their level one skills, but with more slots to fill with more Spheres.

In fact, in order to make it simple, we can name our Weapons the way G.U. did. the spheres attached to the weapon give it it's name. For instance, a lance with a Drive Sphere attached would be Drive Lance. This ofcourse wouldn't apply to rarity 5 items that have their own names.

I think that maybe in the future this will be good, I think for now we should stick to what we have and just say they get x amount per level. Lets not make this too complex to start with. I just worry if we do people will be like "omg so much to remember x.x"

.hack uses gold currency right? We should stick to calling it that. Or w/e it is. ._.;
We could use posts as currency. Since leveling doesn't require that anymore. If not list the amount of gold one person can obtain in the Quest board for that particular Quest. Add the gold amount wherever people place their HP/SP/Class info. Add it in their player notes so we know they're not cheating.
Or brainstorm it later if there's already too many new concepts on the table.

If we do a gold system I can just take a code and it'll do it itself. -nodnod-

Go for it. What about us admins who have negligible in character posts but a hundred administrative posts? do we get that much gold as a reward for our hard work, or do we figure out what we get for the in character posts we have?
I think we should have a certain amount of money that you can get by doing a quest. As far as Spheres are concerned, I think that some should be sold at regular shops and others should be found. same with weapons.
that's my two cents.

I'm pretty sure that I can edit the code to only work in certain categories. 'pretty sure' If not I'll just turn off post count everywhere else. -nod- And yeah certain quests will reward money
