Canon Characters

What are everyone's thoughts about having Canon Characters here on the site? Allow people here to sign up for them? Only useable by the staff for events/etc? Hellz to the no?

Suketsune had an awesome idea from another, now dead site: Allow Canon Questings to happen. Basically people sign up for a Canon Character just to play his or her role during an event. After the event is over, the next event's canon characters are up for grabs.

The second is kinda what I was leaning too.

Rather the have /set/ canon characters I was going to find people that kinda fit the role of what I need for said event then ask them if they would like to do so. -nodnod-

So you're going to scout for people who'd you think would be able to play that certain canon for that event?

And of course if people want to sign up I can set up a canon list then I can be like "oh this person wants to be important... they can do this event~!" then it's less guessing for me and then the players feel like they have more control over it?

Have the members audition for the canon and see who plays them the best?

Mmm the only issue wiht that is I'd have to be like

"Okay entire site, i am looking for a person who can do this and this and this for this event that's coming up" which is not at all what i want to do.

I want to be like -tells the site nothing-
Tells x person that I need them to do x task

and then the event is surprising -nodnod-
