Which as far as I know is Revision 5.

So what will the classes be.
Will we stick to just using the same old classes or will we mix it up?

Why don't we take three of the classes you provided us with and use them as 'default' classes, the rest will be gained threw quest/event/what have you.

Why not trickster Halbardier and phenom. Everything else we can set up a quest for.

My Beast Master class would be a fun default class, but it could also be a nice quest class. hm... It's really designed more like a druid than a summoner, though, so it's really more of a melee class that would be difficult to transition into from any but a few base classes.

So that brings up the question of how to transition into secondary classes. Do they drop previous skill and stat affinities or are they simply compatible with more stuff. I guess my question is would them be like Job extensions or jog switches?

Extensions~ Probably. I think in all honesty it would depend on teh class/their base class. This, I also am in the works of trying to figure out.
