If the thread title is lost:
For the most part I just wanted to catch your attention. /sunglasses.
1) Inactivity Consequences. All sites suffer from this and killed //Echo. I read somewhere that the staff here would be kicked out after 1 week of .. logging in? Or posting? Will this be an immediate decision? Will warnings be sent out prior? Vacation notices? Just want clarification and that these consequences will be followed through no matter who the person is.
2) Level Range in Field Descriptions. Are players disallowed from questing in extremely high leveled areas? Or is it just a placeholder? If this is the case, RPing in itself should be allowed anywhere despite level differences.
3) Mod Colors. Everyone okay with them? I mean, un-okay enough to rage over it and quit. I personally like it either way.
4) Elitist With Power. "My way or the highway." Normally where all the drama starts and members leave. How will this be dealt with?
5) Mass Lurking. Is there a defense to this? Perhaps at this point the site has become stale and needs excitement.

alright lets see if I understand all this
1) I will send out notices prior to the removal of power. However, (and i'll repost this in the rules for teh staff under the staff board) if you post about you leaving or contact me so i can post for you, you'll be fine during your leave. And I will follow through no matter who it is. As far as logging in or posting it depends on your position, I expect the fields to be cleaned so you'll be asked to post/look at cleaning within that week. For the Head Mods I just expect you on and covering for any finished fields you see that arn't clean. Again, I'll expalin all this in teh staff section probably tomorrow sometime (im hoping at least) And this once a week thing is for the staff, memebers will have.. a slightly more relaxing what not. which, we will talk about eventually.
2) Level range is a place holder for quests. Obviously you'll get slaughtered if you level 1 and quest at a level 50 field.
3) I've only heard of two issues with them thus far. One being teh pink, the other being the purple to hard to read.
4) I'm not here to make me happy, in the end I want to create a friendly environment where people are not afraid to say what they want from the staff. The only time I'll pull the 'my way or the highway' card is when I see that no real progress is being made in a decision and bickering has started. However, I greatly hope if for whatever reason i started with this, it would be pointed out to me.
5) Mmm Lurking doesn't bother me. But if you (or anyone) thinks that it needs to have a defense let me know and we'll work something out :3
I hope this answered all of the questions asked, if not please re-ask the ones I missed. I will be more then glad to answer them.

It just bothers me that my font is pink, or maybe its just because I really like this avatar I found and its a little degrading. I won't impose change on anyone because its such a minor problem But its also such an easy fix.
System Admin answered everything else.

Ah, I'm sorry about the pink, Iblis. That's my fault. I was the first Server Mod, and when Kaga asked about colors, I chose pink since it's my favorite. XD;; I'd be okay with changing it, though! My only request is not something that's too dark. What do you think about orange or turquoise?

4) Elitist With Power. "My way or the highway." Normally where all the drama starts and members leave. How will this be dealt with? 5) Mass Lurking. Is there a defense to this? Perhaps at this point the site has become stale and needs excitement. But Sphi, I thought you liked how interesting that drama made things. All jokes aside, though, I think that's more of an environmental thing that either encourages itself and perpetuates, or just dies out. If we're lucky, it only takes a strong few to discourage it to the point where it's not worth it or enjoyable for those who illicit it. Heh, as for the lurking, I think we all know something about that....I think that's more of a 'delicate balance' with policy....For example, if you got rid of the 'roleplaying by self' clause (as could be a consequence of the proposed new leveling system), then that may just encourage people to putz around on their own and keep the site all active and spiffy. I think often people don't have time for a lengthy rp, else they don't want to be the one to post first. Possibly otherwise don't know that someone else is waiting for them to join in. As for that....I'm not sure how this would work or be set up, but it would probably be interesting if just the server section....for each new topic that's posted in there was a notification other than 'most recent post' in a sidebar somewhere? I'm not sure, it's a vague idea.

Haven't read the thread yet. 1) Most sites just do a frequent member cleanout. However, knowing us, that won't work since we all leave and come back often. This would do more damage than good to such people if they have high levels and they may choose to simply not return. Though if they're staff, that is a different issue entirely. 2) I just figured it was a "okay, n00b, if you RP in this level 89 Field, you better have a high level party ready to protect you from instant death" deal. No one should be disqualified from RPing in certain areas simply due to level. 3) *Shrug* 4) I assume you're referring to staff. If the head admin is that way, then there really is no hope. And I'm glad we've once again had the pleasure of learning from our mistakes as far as head admin choices. If the regular staff are that way, then they should simply be removed from staff. Actually, no. See, if you have that mentality, who cares as long as your way is working and you're nice about it? Using Echo as the obvious example, their way may have been working to a degree, but they weren't nice about it. That whole "haters gonna hate" campaign made me hurl. 5) Keeping interest levels high is the only defense to lurking.
